Updates Week of 10/26

4th-6th grade Choc Fundraiser: Though technically the fundraiser has come to an end, there are students that still have outstanding balances. Please return your envelopes as soon as you can. Additionally, we still have12 boxes left. If anyone is interested in helping us sell those last few boxes, we would appreciate it!!! 

Title I Meeting: This Tuesday, we will have our annual Title I meeting at 8:30am. We would love for all our parents to attend this meeting, so that you can stay informed. This is where you can learn more about the inner workings of Title I funding, how we use our funding and resources, and review some school wide date. More information below.  

Golden Oak Assembly and Costume Parade: Please join us on Friday for our annual costume parade, followed by the Golden Oak assembly. Students will sit as they would during a Golden Oak assembly, and we will parade one grade level at a time. Immediately following the parade will be our Golden Oak assembly. There is rain in the forecast for Friday, so we will watch the weather closely and present an alternate plan should we need. For those not celebrating Halloween, please make sure you let the teacher know. We will have an alternate activity with Mrs. Lau for our students. 

Absenses: As the trimester is coming to an end, I want to remind all our parents that we will be sending emails home to students who have missed more than 10% of the trimester. We understand that this may be due to an illness, however, it is our policy to alert you of our concerns. We appreciate your support. As a reminder, it is extremley important that students come to school when they are not ill, as consistently as possible. 

 

DLI Tour:  As you may be aware, next year, our school will be a dual immersion school for Western Armenian. There will be opportunities for tours and more information. Please see the flyer below.
